Many people either suffer from snoring or suffer from having to put up with their partner or spouse snoring at night. It can be a frustrating and annoying habit but there are things that you can do to prevent and cure snoring altogether. One great, yet simple method to help snoring is to just sleep with your head higher – either on larger pillows or more pillows. Another simple tip is to avoid any alcohol, sleeping pills or antihistamines before hitting the sack as they will all limit your air way and cause you to snore more. Another good tip is to steer clear of dairy products – these are a definite no-no.

One thing that you will find is that overweight people suffer far more from snoring then underweight people do. If you are overweight and suffer heavily from snoring then it is definitely in your best interest to try to lose some weight as it will help your snoring habit a lot. Something else that will help you is if you sleep on your side instead of your back. Other great tips include following and sticking with regular sleeping patterns so that your body gets used to it, digesting some honey right before bed time, avoiding large meals before bed or items such as chocolate, cookies, cakes or pizza and even not smoking as this will cause you to snore more.
